Change

You know the reasons things happen,and create changes in our lives isnt always apparent at the time they take place,and making changes is not always easy either.A single decision can change the course of our future or the course of an entire nation(like whats happening with our newly elected government},thats not the kind of change Im looking for.When 35 years of torture came to an end,with a physical and mental breakdown,I was ready for a change.That decision has made not only my Life,but the Lives of everyone I come in contact with,alot better.I quit drinking and got help.Another change came when the restaraunt I ran went bankrupt in Febuary.At the time it was the worst thing that could possibly happen as my wife worked their too.Had these things not happened then I would not be getting ready today,to start my new endeavor tommorro.I will now be working at one of the nations most successful alcohol and addiction treatment facilities.Working with people in the begginning phase of making changes to their lives.Ive never really paid attention to the meaning of coming full circle,or what goes around comes around,but now I cannot ignore whats happened right in front of me.So opposite of your delema I had to stop focusing selfishly on my world and my problems,(which I created),and have been given the opportunity to help others.Your know they say God works in mysterious ways and I would have to agree,but I dont think he would give me a mountain I could not climb.So today,Im gathering my mental hiking gear and getting ready for the next phase of this wonderful journey we call Life.
